It is now long enough since the election of Pope Leo IV to see how he is continuing in the path of Pope Francis and how he is treading his own path. Catholic Outlook from the Diocese of Parramatta has highlighted an article, originally published in Commonweal magazine. The author is Massimo Faggioli, a professor in the Loyola Institute at Trinity College Dublin.

was of interest to me.You don’t have to go to Rome to find financial mismanagement in the church. Canon law makes it clear that the parish priest must have a Parish Finance Committee. A parish local to me did not have one (nor did it have a Parish Pastoral Council)and the parish finances have been mismanaged. Why didn’t the bishop remove the parish priest or insist he have a Parish Finance Committee?
